Element Recognized as Innovator in Cleantech Group’s Global Cleantech 100

January 4, 2021 - San Francisco, CA - Element today announced it has been named an innovator in the Emerging Technologies category of Cleantech Group’s 12th annual Global Cleantech 100. Each year, the Cleantech Group recognizes the most innovative and promising companies across industries –– from emerging technology, to food and agriculture, energy and power, and beyond.

Now in its 12th year, the annual Global Cleantech100 combines its own research data and qualitative judgements from an expert panel of judges to select the companies and innovators in each category. The Cleantech 100 expert panel is made up of a variety of investors and executives who are immersed in technology and innovation scouting, and represent the overall cleantech community.

“Element’s mission is to enable cleaner, safer, healthier operations for industrial companies. We are proud to be recognized as an innovator in the Emerging Technologies category of Cleantech Group’s Global Cleantech 100,” said Andy Bane, CEO of Element. “Our software solution, Element Unify, creates operational efficiencies for asset-intensive industries, such as energy and power, solving a major challenge for the entire C-suite during their digital transformation journey.”

Element enables smarter, more efficient operations by successfully aligning IT and operational technology (OT) to deliver rich, contextualized metadata. Teams within organizations can work together and have a holistic system of record across their entire industrial IoT environment by integrating siloed time-series metadata generated by sensors and devices of all kinds.

For decades, industrial IT and OT teams have been disconnected and operated with ineffective systems that have led to a loss in time and revenue, as well as data silos, inconsistent data quality, and poor, enterprise-wide data governance. Element Unify aims to address these pain points and is comprised of four core features, including:

  • Integrate –– allows the easy, friction-free ingestion of metadata from OT & IT systems, spreadsheets and P&ID systems, helping eliminate poor OT data quality.
  • Contextualize –– allows users to combine data, making it contextually rich, and out of that single source of truth, compose whatever data model is needed in order to consume raw data via analytical tools.
  • Govern –– enables the management of enterprise data semantics, delivering a robust data governance engine that ensures a single source of truth for industrial metadata across the enterprise.
  • ElementGraph –– a visual graphical map of the entirety of an Industrial IoT deployment that shows context and interdependencies of systems, and enabling consumption by any data user or system whether on-prem or in the Cloud.
