Digital Twins Galore at Hannover Messe

Our team was thrilled (and a little exhausted) after taking part in Hannover Messe last week.

The first thing that struck the Element team when they arrived on site was the sheer sizeof the event. The event spanned nearly a dozen halls and each “hall” could have been an entire conference of its own. Navigating from one side to the other was a journey. Another aspect that stood out was the prevalence of digital twins as a topic of interest – there were myriad talks and exhibits expounding on the virtues and the “how-tos” of digital twins.

The great distances at the event didn’t deter those curious about digital twin technology from seeking out Element at our two locations (in the AWS and Azure booths) to learn how Element Unify transforms siloed IT/OT/ET data into contextualized, knowledge graph-based models to support digital twin development.

Our team spoke to dozens of customers and our data experts gave demos nearly non-stop at the AWS and Azure pods in the successful and productive event.

Element at the Microsoft Azure IoT Pod

Microsoft invited Element to exhibit in the Azure IoT pod at Hannover Messe. During the event, we formally announced our integration with Azure Digital Twins. The integration delivers several key benefits to organizations looking to build digital twins:

  • Accelerate the deployment of digital twin models using Unify templates, Properties, Components and Relationships.
  • Ensure that the digital twin effectively mimics the physical reality and delivers sound analytics in a live execution environment.
  • Leverage pre-existing Azure Digital Twins models by importing to Unify allowing reuse and governance in Unify’s semantic data model.

The Unify / Azure Digital Twins integration accelerates digital twin building and improves ongoing twin effectiveness by making it easier to integrate data from enterprise applications and operational (OT) systems shrinking customers’ time to insight and value and enabling much greater scale.
